Headquartered in Owasso, Okla., Water Products is a distributor of water, sewer and gas system installations and maintenance products and repair services. The transaction closed on December 3, 2012.

HD Supply distributes a complete line of water, sewer, fire protection and storm-drain products to serve the needs of contractors and municipalities in the water, wastewater, storm and fire protection markets. "HD Supply Waterworks is committed to strategic growth that enables us to serve our customers more efficiently and build value," said HD Supply Waterworks CEO Jerry Webb . "The acquisition of Water Products provides us with an increased ability to provide value-added services, robust inventory and timely product deliveries to our existing and prospective customers in this important region."

The purchase of Water Products further strengthens HD Supply Waterworks' leading national position by enhancing its capability to meet the demand of increasing infrastructure needs in the South Central United States. It also aligns with HD Supply's overall long-term growth strategy and enhances its ability to provide the right products, services and solutions as the distributor of choice for its customers. Water Products currently operates six branches located in Owasso, Okla.; McPherson, Kan.; Tontitown and Little Rock, Ark.; Harrisonville, Mo.; and Royse City, Texas. The business will be fully integrated into HD Supply Waterworks and will begin operating under the HD Supply Waterworks brand while continuing to provide water and sewer materials and services to existing customers.
