Generational Equity is pleased to announce the acquisition of its client, MSS Distribution Inc. dba Orbis Logistics (Orbis), headquartered in Richmond, Texas, by Dicom Transportation Group, a portfolio company of Wind Point Partners, headquartered in Montreal, Quebec. The acquisition closed on June 12, 2015.

Orbis provides 3PL (third party logistics) last mile business-to-business delivery solutions, offering date specific, time specific, and accurate service. Orbis serves customers in the retail, home improvement, automotive, and other markets located in the Louisiana/Mississippi, Florida, Alabama/Mississippi/Florida Panhandle, and Indiana regions.

Terry Mackin was the Generational Equity Managing Director that advised Orbis on the transaction. "This acquisition provided Wind Point Partners the opportunity to add to its Canadian-based Dicom Transportation Group platform while expanding the national presence for its brand in the US, goals that excited all the principals at Wind Point, Dicom, and our clients," stated Mackin.

Dicom is a transportation and logistics company headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, with offices throughout the U.S. and Canada. Dicom operates three business segments: Express, Freight, and Logistics. Services provided include overnight and second-day parcel, freight transportation, freight management, and last mile services throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Dicom's acquisition program focuses on acquiring courier, LTL and transportation providers in Quebec, Ontario and the United States. In addition, Dicom is seeking 3PL providers who manage transportation, logistics and supply chain functions for businesses in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.
