Where is Your Horizon in 2022?

As we enter a new year (and by now most of us have broken our New Year’s resolutions), it is vital for entrepreneurs to examine their short term tactical and long-term strategic plans for their businesses.

Why?

Well as Lewis Carroll famously put it: If you don’t know where you are going, any road will get you there!

Since we are now a month into 2022, we thought it would be a good idea to encourage our readers to fully examine, analyze, and consider where the business is today and where you want it to be in the coming years.

Recently Finance Insights published a thought-provoking article on the 10 traits of highly successful people. All 10 are fantastic to review, but this one really stood out for me:

This is so critical and our team with Generational Capital Group (GCG) focuses on this with every client they have the privilege to work with because looking “over the horizon” is vital for every business owner.

Even more so at the start of a new year!

Here are a few GCG clients and what they gained by looking over the horizon with us:

The common theme in these is that taking the time to plan – truly plan – and develop tactical and strategic goals for your business, will enable you to look over the horizon and get ready for the future.

According to our friends with Merriam-Webster, the definition of a horizon is:

1: The line where the earth or sea seems to meet the sky = We sailed toward the horizon… The sun rose slowly over/above the eastern horizon.

2: The limit or range of a person's knowledge, understanding, or experience = Reading broadens/expands our horizons.

3: The limit of what is possible in a particular field or activity = These discoveries have opened up new horizons in the field of cancer research.

So where is your horizon? What is limiting your company’s growth? Where do you want the business to be at the end of 2022? What about 2025 and beyond?

And more importantly, what is your personal financial horizon? Where do you want to be five years from now? What does financial security for you and your family look like? How do you get there?

These are all questions that our consultants with GCG can help you analyze, answer, and plan for.

So, our wish for you at the beginning of 2022 is that you take the time to truly plan for your horizon. See it and meet it on your own terms. To learn more about how to, contact us at 972-232-1121.
