Generational Equity sister company, Generational Capital Markets, Inc. (GCM), Member FINRA/SIPC, was honored by The M&A Advisor with the Private Equity Deal of the Year Award (from $10MM – $50MM) at the 9th Annual International M&A Awards on June 12, 2017, in New York City.

“This is a huge achievement, especially given the global competition we faced,” said Terry Johnson, Generational Equity Chief Revenue and Strategy Officer. “We’re all very proud to work alongside GCM. They’re a great success story and a key business in the Generational family of companies. My congratulations to Brenen Hofstadter, Chris Heckert, and the entire GCM team on this well deserved recognition.”

The award-winning deal was the acquisition of GCM client Dock Edge +, Inc., by Canada Metal (Pacific) Ltd., a subsidiary of Branford Castle Partners. The deal closed on September 12, 2016.

GCM Managing Director Chris Heckert advised Dock Edge + in the transaction. “I am honored by this award,” said Heckert. “This transaction was a great example of the benefits of international M&A and I look forward to seeing this partnership continue to grow.”
