We are often asked at our exit planning conferences about how long the current seller’s market will continue. Given the convergence of a number of factors including economic growth, relatively inexpensive financing for deals, significant capital available for acquisitions, and buyer optimism, we are expecting another record year in 2019:
However, like all seller’s markets in history, this one will eventually come to a close. So it is wise for business owners to develop exit strategies now, when the time is ripe, rather than waiting for the next seller’s market which may be years away.
