Role Summary

The Valuation Manager (VM) is responsible for mentoring new hires and working with them directly on evaluation engagements. Additionally, the VM manages the team’s client distribution and reviews all client deliverables for a team of Valuation Analysts, Associates, and Senior Associates. Most importantly, VMs are integral to the training and development of the Evaluation Group. VMs also directly address client-related issues. The desire to mentor and train are key aspects to the VM role. The VM is also required to carry their own deal plate of new clients (original evaluations) and existing clients (updates). The VM is expected to participate in recruiting activities and other ad hoc projects for the evaluation department. The ability to confidently interact with internal management, external clients, and associates is essential.


Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is required;
  • Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills;
  • Must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Word and Excel);
  • A high degree of professionalism and excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) is required;
  • Demonstrates strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects as well as proficient follow through skills;
  • Ability to complete projects timely and accurately is critical;
  • Masters level degree in finance, accounting, or similar degree (and/or related professional certification and designation such as CFA or CPA) is preferred.
