Generational Group Announces Sale of The Mell Group to a Private Investor

Generational Group, a leading mergers and acquisitions advisor for privately held businesses, is pleased to announce the sale of its client, The Mell Group, LLC of Birmingham, Alabama, to a private investor in Slidell, Louisiana. The acquisition closed December 1, 2016. Details were not disclosed.
The Mell Group is a manufacturer representative for library furniture and shelving with exclusive rights in Alabama. The company also sells auditorium seating.
The private investor who acquired The Mell Group is a skilled and successful salesman with experience in the library furniture and shelving industry.
Generational Group Vice President Mark Breheny and Managing Director Don Sawyer's team, headed by trusted dealmaker Sam Sumner, successfully closed the deal.
"This was a very good match," said Sumner. "Finding an experienced person in this industry was a key to this successful closing."
