Generational Group, a leading mergers and acquisitions advisor for privately held businesses, is pleased to announce the sale of its client, Matsen Ford Design & Associates Inc., to raSmith. The acquisition closed August 1, 2018.
Matsen Ford Design, based in Waukesha, Wisconsin, is a structural engineering firm serving commercial, industrial and institutional building markets throughout the U.S.
It has solid expertise in primary building structural design for all building types and materials, including steel, concrete, masonry, wood, foundations and other systems. The company has built a specialist reputation for its expertise in cold-formed (light gauge) steel design.
Headquartered in Brookfield, Wisconsin, raSmith is a multi-disciplinary consulting firm comprised of civil engineers, structural engineers, land surveyors, development managers, landscape architects, ecologists, and construction inspectors and managers.
The company acquired Matsen to increase its bench strength and expand its geographic reach into new markets.
Generational Group Senior Managing Director Doug Smith’s team, led by trusted affiliate Steve Dinehart with support from Senior VP Ryan Johnson, successfully closed the deal. Senior Managing Director James Carr established the initial relationship with Matsen.
