Generational Group, a leading mergers and acquisitions advisor for privately held businesses, is pleased to announce the sale of its client, Florida Overhead Door & Specialties, Inc., to a Private Investor. The acquisition closed February 19, 2021.
Florida Overhead Door & Specialties (FOD) is a franchisee and authorized distributor for Overhead Door products; FOD has the exclusive rights to operate as an Overhead Door distributor in nine counties in North Central Florida.
FOD specializes in installing garage doors and garage door openers/controllers, catering to residential and commercial customers. Additionally, the Company also provides maintenance and emergency services on garage doors.
FOD operates from two locations – Gainesville, Florida (established in 1983) and Ocala, Florida (1996). The Company has developed an outstanding reputation in its regional markets over the past 35 years.
Generational Group Executive Managing Director, M&A-Technology Practice Leader, David Fergusson, and his team, led by Senior Managing Director of Mergers and Acquisition, Barry DeWitt, with the support of Vice President, Mergers & Acquisitions, Alex Mironov, successfully closed the deal. Senior Managing Director Thomas Hamm established the initial relationship with FOD.
