Harmsen & Associates Acquired By Fremont-Wright

Fremont-Wright LLC acquired Generational Equity client Harmsen & Associates Inc. on October 19, 2018.

Harmsen & Associates provides land surveying, land use planning, civil engineering and construction staking. The company is headquartered in Monroe, WA, and was founded in 1974. Harmsen now provides services from four offices across the state.

Having grown through acquisitions in 2007, 2011 and 2016, Harmsen's rich survey records archive now includes those of Leonard, Boudinot & Skodje; Fakkema & Kingma; Meriwether Leachman Associates; and Evergreen Surveying.

Fremont-Wright LLC is a holding company based in Memphis, TN, and specializes in aerial and land survey, as well as civil and structural engineering. Its companies – Triton Engineering, I.F. Rooks and Colbert Matz Rosenfelt – also offer services such as photogrammetry, environment management, volumetric services and utility design. Fremont-Wright serves the institutional, mixed use, commercial and residential industries.

Generational Equity Senior Managing Director Stephen Crisham's team, led by trusted affiliate Steve Spencer and assisted by Managing Director Mike Meredith, successfully closed the deal. Executive Managing Director Edward Weber established the initial relationship with Harmsen & Associates.

“Harmsen & Associates has built a stellar reputation in the Puget Sound area as the civil engineering and surveying company that is known for putting the customer first, being passionate about exceptional value and quality, and ‘if you want the job done right, go to Harmsen,’” said Spencer.

“Fremont-Wright quickly recognized the opportunity to integrate Harmsen & Associates’ skillsets and culture into their national platform. We are excited for both the buyer and seller, and truly expect a very successful future together as they take the business to the next level of performance on a national scale.”
