Stephen Carney is an Evaluation Manager with Generational Group, where he helps business owners understand the value of their companies and prepare for successful liquidity events. Since joining Generational in 2022, he has worked closely with middle-market business owners across a variety of industries, providing valuation guidance, market insights, and strategic advice to support informed decision-making.

In addition to leading his own client engagements, Stephen manages a team of valuation professionals and is responsible for workflow management, professional development, and team performance. He takes a hands-on approach with clients, developing a deep understanding of their businesses through operational reviews, facility visits, and financial analysis to identify key value drivers and market opportunities.

Prior to joining Generational, Stephen worked in mergers and acquisitions and advised business owners on strategic planning and value enhancement initiatives. Earlier in his career, he spent more than a decade in wealth management, serving high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, and business owners.

Stephen is a United States Army combat veteran and earned an MBA from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. An active member of the Scottish Rite in Dallas, he supports initiatives benefiting Scottish Rite for Children.
