Generational Group Advises Graichen Disposal & Recycling in its Sale to GFL Solid Waste Midwest

Generational Group, a leading mergers and acquisitions advisor for privately held businesses, is pleased to announce the sale of its client, Graichen Disposal and Recycling, LLC, to GFL Solid Waste Midwest LLC (part of GFL Environmental). The acquisition closed September 1, 2021.

Located in New London, Wisconsin, Graichen Disposal & Recycling (GDR) was founded in 1956 and is a residential, commercial and industrial waste and recycling collection company servicing residents in Wisconsin. The Company offers collection services, 2-to-10-yard containers, 15-to-40-yard roll-off containers, and compactor services.

GFL Environmental (GFL), headquartered in Vaughan, Ontario, is the fourth largest diversified environmental services company in North America, providing a comprehensive line of non-hazardous solid waste management, infrastructure & soil remediation, and liquid waste management services through its platform of facilities across Canada and in 27 states in the United States. Across its organization, GFL has a workforce of more than 17,000 employees.

Generational Group Executive Managing Director of M&A – Central Region, Michael Goss, and his team lead by Senior M&A Advisor, Stephen Dinehart, with support from Managing Director Mergers & Acquisition, Ryan Johnson, successfully closed the deal. Senior Managing Director Tom Stephens established the initial relationship with GDR.
