William Caton serves as Senior Manager of Information Systems for Business Development. William brings a wealth of experience, an exceptional skill set, and a remarkable talent that he dedicates to a critical areas of Generational’s operations. William’s primary focus revolves around enhancing business development efficiencies. Specifically, he concentrates on elevating our Senior Business Advisors work experience by harnessing state-of-the-art technology to achieve operational efficiencies for the team.

Additionally, William oversees the business development data analyst role, ensuring the timely and accurate execution of workforce management functions, encompassing resource planning, data recording, analysis, and the delivery of performance and production reports to the business development leadership team. Furthermore, his responsibilities encompass database augmentation, lead generation/distribution, and active involvement in any novel initiatives aimed at driving process enhancements and performance.

William works in close collaboration with our company’s IT team, including our senior database administrator, to facilitate the creation of a fully integrated database system that seamlessly interfaces with all existing resource planning systems.

Before his current role, William Caton served for 16 years as a Business Development Manager at Generational’s Florida office. During his time as a Business Development Manger, he led an 18-member sales team in this highly productive merger and acquisition operation, advising middle market business owners on effective exit strategies for their highly sought-after business ventures. His team was primarily responsible for initiating seed level calls to targeted businesses with the goal of motivating qualified owners to commit a day of their time to explore M&A options through our one-day seminars. In addition to managing the day-to-day operations, William spent a portion of his time recruiting, hiring, training, and supporting new team members with the goal of maintaining the company’s production objectives.

Prior to joining Generational Equity, William was President and CEO of a New York based Technology Company that provided emerging computer technologies to individuals and small/midsize companies. He was tasked with the responsibility to develop the Corporate Vision, Mission, and Objectives for the business. As leader of the operational and functional units, his focus was on setting clear expectations and benchmarks, along with reward systems to realize corporate objectives.
